On the panel: ESG in the finance and real-estate sector
On the panel: ESG in the finance and real-estate sector

I like projects where many people, little time and unresolved decisions come together. What helps there is not more process, but clean preparation, clear ownership and consistent follow-up.

My strength is turning a pile of open points into a structure that can be steered: who decides what? Which dependencies are blocking? What has to be finished before the next steering meeting? Where is an escalation needed?

How I work

  • I make open decisions visible and put them in a form that can actually be decided on.
  • I keep owners, deadlines and next steps under consistent follow-up.
  • I cut down coordination loops through proper preparation and follow-through.
  • I raise risks early, before they turn into missed deadlines.
  • I translate between management, business units and delivery teams.

Career

I studied in Scotland and Germany in parallel: two bachelor's degrees in International Business, followed by an MSc in Finance and Management at the University of Glasgow, completed with distinction.

After that came around eighteen months in consulting, most recently as a Senior Associate at KPMG, working mainly on EU taxonomy and carbon accounting for financial institutions. From 2023 to 2025 I spent two years at WWF Germany as a project manager: partnerships with banks, a biodiversity roadmap for a development bank, an international paper on nature finance.

In 2025 I became a father. Since October 2025 I have been self-employed; parental leave and my own practice have run alongside each other since then.

What stays from that: I know what a bank looks like from the inside, and what an NGO looks like from the inside. In programmes where both sides have to deliver, that is the difference between translating and talking past each other.

What they have in common: demanding constellations of people to align, regulatory depth, and the ambition to get from analysis all the way to something that holds up in practice.
